Her Kaiser Buns and dinner rolls were sent to the national GIG office. They tested as having MORE than 10,000 ppm of gluten--gluten free is less than 20 ppm--at both the GIG office and an outside lab. This is not a cross contact issue - the items that were tested were made with wheat flour. Here in San Jose, we needed to have already put or winter transplants out (esp. cabbage family plants) back in September. Otherwise, they don't get enough warmth to grow significantly before the weather cools down. Our day time and night time temperature regularly differ by about 25 degrees. And we haven't had a night over 55 F for a couple of months. Although we do have the benefit of a much lower chance of frost. Around here, gardeners string Christmas lights (not the led ones, since they don't give off heat) in their citrus trees to keep the chill off. This won't help during a hard freeze, but is good on the borderline nights.Cayce Hillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15351341925949729938noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-312131934476636417.post-89888382534996019632010-11-12T15:19:15.869-06:002010-11-12T15:19:15.869-06:00Sommer,
