It is HOT outside, but now is the time to start thinking about what to plant for the fall garden. We are lucky to have two growing seasons in Austin, so I plan to take advantage of the mild fall and grow some more veggies!

If your peppers, eggplants and tomatoes are still hanging in there like mine, you might even see a second crop when the temperature drops a bit.

Here's what you can start planting..although you may want to wait until the temperature drops below 100 or plan on giving your plants some major TLC until it does!

Beets
Brussels Sprouts
Chinese Cabbage
Collards, Chard & Kale
*I also planted a new round of cucumbers
Garlic
Lettuce and Arugula
Parsley
Parsnip
Peas-Sugar and Snow
Radish
Shallots
Spinach
Turnip
