Local Leftovers

Make Your Own Pasta Night
When you are left with just a few veggies and small containers of meat or fish, it is time to get creative. At our house, it usually calls for a make your own pizza, pasta night or a stir fry. These nights end up being the most fun because everyone gets to choose exactly what they want and the fridge gets cleaned out in the process.

We usually do a make your own pasta or pizza night on the night before we pick up our new CSA box for the week or on a Friday night when we're feeling lazy. Our goal is always to make sure that we use or preserve the entire farm box by the time the next one arrives. We are really trying to make sure that nothing gets wasted.
